Falsing pricing. Diaappointed when one of the managers were called over to the shoe department after reviewing more closely a sign in front of shoes said 20 on clearance and then an associate removed the display shoe from right in front of it. Then yo find out it wasn't for the shoe we wanted. We even took a pic of it to have to show the cashier as we usually do because sales end etc. This manager said he could take off $20 but not sell them to us for the price in front of them. Which was $20. He then went on to say well what's a fair price to you guys? After offering the 20 off. Like we were bartering in a retail store. This isn't a yardsale... The other issue was the worker who called the mgr over said oh no its just a customer... um Just a customer pays your salary. Prob not appropriate to use in front of a customer. So watch the price Tags in this academy. They aren't always in front of the correct item. The employee even said he hadn't a chance to move it over. Someone took the time to place that display there in front of that sale sign. then someone else added a red sale sign sticker to that display shoe as well. Think about that for a min. Several employees placed the price tag and a sale tag in front of a locked down display of that price. Small print other than prices. Pay attention please to where price tags are placed. Lack of attwntion. Customers loose out. I'm still mind blown about bartering in retail the what's a fair price... from a manager today. Good thing this wasn't a mystery shop. Too bad. Corporate will still hear though. With that being said. We put back all of our purchases and left.

so happy to see to see new store with archery equipment since Dicks quit selling any archery equipment.excellent ammo prices and pistols.Great selection of fishing / kayak equipment and camping supplies . only had 1 hour exhausted looking at stuff.not driving 1 hour north to bass pro on congested I75 . Great employees helped on purchase

This is a great addition to the area. Really lacking in good sports stores. Parking lot is big. Staff is very friendly. Purchase for the day was a basketball and some shorts. Would be nice to have a larger section of local team apparel. Bucs, Rays, Boltz , and Magic.

So excited to see Academy Sports in Bradenton! My favorite sporting goods store! I first stepped foot in one when I lived in GA & was really happy when I heard one was coming to Bradenton! Wide variety of clothes, shoes, camping, fishing, sporting goods and even propane exchange.
